Faux suede is flexible but doesn't have much stretch. It is a non-woven fabric and doesn't fray, making it fairly easy to work with.
Because of its stain-repellent qualities, faux suede is used for sewing leggings, skirts and jackets.
Faux leather (also referred to as “leatherette” or “vegan” leather) is often considered as a lower cost alternative to genuine leather.
