Sewing Tips for Stretch Velour
Use a stretch needle or ballpoint needle appropriate for your fabric and test your stitching before starting your project.
A stretch stitch, narrow zigzag stitch or serger can help seams maintain their elasticity.
Because velour has a directional pile, we recommend cutting all pattern pieces in the same direction for a consistent colour and sheen throughout your finished garment.
When sewing, avoid stretching the fabric unnecessarily. A walking foot may help feed the layers evenly.
Always test pressing on a small scrap. Use low heat and a pressing cloth to help protect the plush surface.
Care Instructions
- Machine Washing: Machine wash on a low-temperature, gentle cycle.
- Bleaching: Do not bleach.
- Drying: Tumble dry on low heat.
- Ironing: Iron on low heat. Press from the reverse side using a pressing cloth to protect the velour pile.
We recommend pre-washing your fabric using the same care method you plan to use for your finished garment.

All of our sewing patterns are sold as digital PDF files and are delivered instantly after purchase.
Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.
Please make sure you have the correct email address and a device that can open PDF files before completing your order.
If you encounter any issues with your download link or file, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.
Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.
Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.
We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.
We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.
If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.
Please note that monitor or device settings may affect how you view product colours on our website. We cannot issue a refund if there are discrepancies between the product image and the actual colour.
