Is this cotton twill suitable for pants and jackets?
Yes. At 200 gsm, this fabric has considerably more body than lightweight shirting cotton and is well suited to lighter structured pants, skirts, chore-style jackets, overshirts and similar garments. For projects requiring a very heavy bottom-weight fabric, a heavier twill or denim may be preferable.
Is this fabric beginner-friendly?
Yes. Cotton twill is generally easy to handle because it is stable and does not have the slipperiness or stretch of many other garment fabrics. This makes it a good option for newer sewists who want to work with a medium-weight woven fabric.
What sewing needle should I use for this cotton twill?
A Universal needle in size 80/12 or 90/14 is a good starting point. The best choice can vary depending on the number of fabric layers and the type of project, so testing on a scrap first is recommended.
Do I need extra fabric to match the polka dots?
If you want the dots to align across prominent seams, pockets or garment fronts, purchasing a little extra fabric is recommended. Pattern matching is optional, but careful placement can give the finished project a particularly polished appearance.

Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.

We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.
Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.
Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.
We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.
We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.
If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.
