The 112 Japanese Field Clothing sewing pattern by Folkwear includes three traditional Japanese-inspired garments: the Hippari jacket for women and men, Monpei Field Pants for women, and a Padded Jacket for women. These practical garments are based on clothing traditionally worn by Japanese field workers and combine comfort, freedom of movement and distinctive construction details.
The Hippari is a hip-length jacket that overlaps at the front and ties at the side. The front opening is finished with a neckband. Two elbow-length sleeve styles are included: the women's version features rectangular sleeves with traditional openings beneath the arms, while the men's version has tapered sleeves without the underarm opening.
The Monpei Field Pants are calf-length women's pants with pleats at the waist and separate front and back waistbands that wrap and tie around the body. Roomy crotch gussets provide freedom of movement, the leg openings are finished with elastic, and a patch pocket is positioned at the right front hip.
The Padded Jacket is a women's jacket with a straight front opening and neckband. Traditional layered construction combines an outer fabric, batting and a shorter contrasting lining. Curved sleeves feature traditional underarm openings and can also be used, without padding, on the Hippari.

Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.
Please make sure you have the correct email address and a device that can open PDF files before completing your order.

We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.
Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.
Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.
We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.
We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.
If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.
Please note that monitor or device settings may affect how you view product colours on our website. We cannot issue a refund if there are discrepancies between the product image and the actual colour.
