The 136 Children's Kimono & Vests by Folkwear is a versatile collection of Japanese garments for children in sizes 2–10. The pattern includes a traditional-inspired kimono with two sleeve options, a quilted vest and a knitted vest.
The Children's Kimono uses the same basic cut and construction as Folkwear's adult 113 Japanese Kimono. Tips for making and wearing a traditional Obi sash are also included.
The Quilted Vest can be worn with the kimono or with everyday clothing. It can be machine quilted at home or made from pre-quilted fabric and is finished with bias binding. The Knitted Vest echoes the silhouette of the quilted version and features a three-dimensional diamond stitch.

For customers in other Canadian provinces, the USA, or internationally, we offer a range of shipping options through various carriers. The customer is responsible for selecting their preferred shipping method at checkout.
Please note that our system provides an estimated shipping cost at checkout, which may not always reflect the actual shipping charges.
In cases of oversized orders, shipments to rural or remote areas, or delivery to P.O. boxes, the final shipping cost may differ. If this occurs, we will contact you directly with the updated shipping cost, which will be the responsibility of the customer.

All of our sewing patterns are sold as digital PDF files and are delivered instantly after purchase.
Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.
Please make sure you have the correct email address and a device that can open PDF files before completing your order.
If you encounter any issues with your download link or file, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.
Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.
Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.
We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.
We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.
If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.
Please note that monitor or device settings may affect how you view product colours on our website. We cannot issue a refund if there are discrepancies between the product image and the actual colour.
