The 227 Edwardian Gown by Folkwear captures the elegant silhouette and elaborate detailing of turn-of-the-century Edwardian fashion. Inspired by several original garments, the design features a high neckline, puffed sleeves, a fitted waist and a dramatically full skirt.

All three views feature bodice and hip yokes extending into long centre-front panels. Soft gathers create fullness through the bodice, while a full circle skirt falls from the hip. The sleeves are full and puffed at the cap before becoming closely fitted below the elbow. The centre-back opening may be finished with hooks & eyes, buttons or a zipper.

View A is the simplest version, with an unembellished design, stand-up collar and contemporary mid-calf hem.

View B features extensive lace insertion on the yokes, sleeves and skirt, a collar made entirely of lace and a deep flounce creating a floor-length gown.

View C includes the detailing of View B with additional lace insertion, delicate pin tucks on the bodice and hip yokes, and a dramatic 12" / 30.5 cm train.

All of our sewing patterns are sold as digital PDF files and are delivered instantly after purchase.
Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.
Please make sure you have the correct email address and a device that can open PDF files before completing your order.

If you encounter any issues with your download link or file, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.

PLEASE NOTE

We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.

Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.

Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.

We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.

We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.

If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.

Please note that monitor or device settings may affect how you view product colours on our website. We cannot issue a refund if there are discrepancies between the product image and the actual colour.
