The 229 Sailor Pants by Folkwear are inspired by the iconic trousers worn by WWII Navy seamen as part of the traditional "Crackerjack" uniform. This timeless unisex design combines authentic nautical details with a distinctive high-waisted, wide-leg silhouette.
The pants feature a classic bell-bottom leg, distinctive buttoned broadfall front, adjustable lace-up back gusset, back welt pocket and inner-leg godet. A small hidden coin pocket is neatly incorporated into the front waistband seam.

The finished waist measurement is measured with the back lace-up gusset completely closed. The waist can be increased by approximately 1–3" / 2.5–7.5 cm by loosening the back gusset.

All of our sewing patterns are sold as digital PDF files and are delivered instantly after purchase.
Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.
Please make sure you have the correct email address and a device that can open PDF files before completing your order.
If you encounter any issues with your download link or file, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.
Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.
Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.
We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.
We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.
If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.
Please note that monitor or device settings may affect how you view product colours on our website. We cannot issue a refund if there are discrepancies between the product image and the actual colour.
