The 233 Glamour Girl Dress sewing pattern by Folkwear recreates the sophisticated glamour of early 1940s Hollywood. Designed to emphasize feminine curves while draping elegantly over the body, this vintage-inspired dress combines a close-fitting bodice, gathered detailing and a beautifully flared skirt.

The close-fitting bodice features a narrow V-neckline, while the front bodice and skirt gather into a distinctive curved midriff that extends into ties at the centre front for an adjustable, flattering fit. A fitted back hip yoke creates a smooth line through the back of the dress.

The flared skirt falls gracefully from bias seams at the centre front and back, while three-quarter-length sleeves are dramatically gathered at the elbow. The dress closes with a zipper at the left side seam, and shoulder pads create the characteristic structured silhouette of the early 1940s.

All of our sewing patterns are sold as digital PDF files and are delivered instantly after purchase.
Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.
Please make sure you have the correct email address and a device that can open PDF files before completing your order.

If you encounter any issues with your download link or file, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.

PLEASE NOTE

We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.

Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.

Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.

We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.

We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.

If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.

Please note that monitor or device settings may affect how you view product colours on our website. We cannot issue a refund if there are discrepancies between the product image and the actual colour.
