The Polar Slippers by The Green Pepper are warm, comfortable fleece slippers designed for the whole family. Perfect for cozy evenings at home, relaxing at the cottage or keeping your feet warm while camping, these easy-to-sew slippers require very little fabric and make a practical handmade gift.
This multi-sized sewing pattern includes slippers for children, youth, women and men, with additional guidance for adjusting the fit for wider feet. The simple construction features a soft fleece sole, a comfortable foot-shaped upper and a folded cuff around the ankle.
Personalize your slippers with optional decorative appliqués, including a heart, flower, tree, fish or duck. You can also add a suitable non-slip material to the soles for better traction on smooth indoor floors.

Recommended Fabrics
Main Fabric:
- Polar fleece
- Medium-weight polar fleece with approximately 30% crosswise stretch
- Other comparable stretch fleece fabrics
Optional Appliqué Fabric:
Important Fabric Note: This pattern is specifically designed for Polartec 200 fleece. The fabric must have crosswise stretch for accurate sizing and a comfortable fit. Fabrics without sufficient stretch are not recommended.

Sewing Note: The designer recommends 100% polyester thread to allow the seams to stretch with the fleece. If using another thread, sew the seams with a slight zigzag stitch.

- Child: Shoe sizes 0–8
- Youth: Shoe sizes 9–13 and 1–5
- Women: Shoe sizes 6–13
- Men: Shoe sizes 6–13
Sizing Note: Choose the pattern size according to your usual shoe size. The necessary wearing ease is already included. For additional accuracy, trace your foot and compare it with the pattern, allowing approximately 1/4" / 0.6 cm at both the toe and heel.
Instructions are included for widening the pattern to accommodate wider feet.

- Youth – Sizes 9–13: 3/8 yd / 34 cm
- Youth – Sizes 1–5: 3/8 yd / 34 cm
- Women – Sizes 6–13: 1/2 yd / 46 cm
- Men – Sizes 6–13: 1/2 yd / 46 cm
Fabric Efficiency Note: When using 60" / 150 cm wide fleece, you can generally make approximately three pairs of children's slippers, two pairs of youth slippers or one and a half pairs of adult slippers from the fabric length required for one pair.
Stretch Requirement: Place all pattern pieces according to the indicated stretch direction. The greatest stretch must run crosswise around the foot.

For remote or rural areas where delivery costs are higher, additional fees may apply. In these cases, we will provide proof of the shipping costs to ensure transparency.
Other Provinces in Canada, USA, and International Shipping
For customers in other Canadian provinces, the USA, or internationally, we offer a range of shipping options through various carriers. The customer is responsible for selecting their preferred shipping method at checkout.
Please note that our system provides an estimated shipping cost at checkout, which may not always reflect the actual shipping charges.
In cases of oversized orders, shipments to rural or remote areas, or delivery to P.O. boxes, the final shipping cost may differ. If this occurs, we will contact you directly with the updated shipping cost, which will be the responsibility of the customer.

All orders shipped outside of Canada — including to the United States — may be subject to import duties, customs fees, taxes and other charges assessed by the destination country’s customs authorities. All of our sewing patterns are sold as digital PDF files and are delivered instantly after purchase.
Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.
Please make sure you have the correct email address and a device that can open PDF files before completing your order.
If you encounter any issues with your download link or file, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.
Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.
Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.
We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.
We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.
If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.
Please note that monitor or device settings may affect how you view product colours on our website. We cannot issue a refund if there are discrepancies between the product image and the actual colour.
