Featuring a narrow double-breasted front that looks equally stylish buttoned or open, the Goldstream Peacoat is fully lined and designed with thoughtful details throughout. Choose between a classic tailored version with epaulets, sleeve tabs and pocket flaps, or a more relaxed version featuring a removable hood and simple patch pockets.
Part of Thread Theory's Parkland Casual Collection, this pattern is an excellent introduction to men's outerwear tailoring. Detailed illustrated instructions guide you through lining construction, finishing techniques and hand-sewn hems. Pattern Variations
Variation 1 – Classic Peacoat:
A traditional tailored peacoat featuring shoulder epaulets, sleeve tabs, lined patch pockets with flaps and optional front darts for a more fitted silhouette. Perfect for classic wool coating fabrics and timeless menswear styling.
Variation 2 – Casual Peacoat:
A more relaxed interpretation featuring a removable button-on hood, simple lined patch pockets and a slightly looser fit. Ideal for creating a practical everyday coat with a modern casual look.
Both variations feature a fully lined construction, double-breasted front closure and classic peacoat styling.
Recommended Fabrics
Choose medium to heavyweight woven coating fabrics with enough structure to support the tailored silhouette.
Lining Fabrics: Silk lining, polyester lining or rayon lining. For additional warmth, consider flannel, quilted lining or brushed cotton. A smooth lining is recommended for the sleeves to make the coat easier to put on and take off.
Interfacing: Medium to heavyweight fusible or sew-in interfacing. For heavily textured wool fabrics, sew-in interfacing may be preferable.

For customers in other Canadian provinces, the USA, or internationally, we offer a range of shipping options through various carriers. The customer is responsible for selecting their preferred shipping method at checkout.

In cases of oversized orders, shipments to rural or remote areas, or delivery to P.O. boxes, the final shipping cost may differ. If this occurs, we will contact you directly with the updated shipping cost, which will be the responsibility of the customer.

All of our sewing patterns are sold as digital PDF files and are delivered instantly after purchase.
Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.
Please make sure you have the correct email address and a device that can open PDF files before completing your order.
If you encounter any issues with your download link or file, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.
Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.
Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.
We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.
We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.
If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.
Please note that monitor or device settings may affect how you view product colours on our website. We cannot issue a refund if there are discrepancies between the product image and the actual colour.
