Choose between full-length trousers or knee-length shorts with rolled cuffs. Both variations feature a shaped back yoke, practical slash front pockets, back patch pockets, belt loops and a traditional zipper fly. Decorative topstitching and durable flat-felled seams add a professional finish while allowing you to develop essential trouser-making skills.

Sew the trousers in cotton twill, denim, corduroy or gabardine for a structured, hardwearing garment. For warm-weather shorts, choose lightweight cotton or breathable linen to create a relaxed summer staple.

Pattern Variations

Variation 1 – Full-Length Pants:
Classic chino-style trousers with a slim, casual silhouette, zipper fly, back yoke, belt loops and practical pockets. Ideal for everyday wear in structured woven fabrics such as twill, denim or corduroy.

Variation 2 – Knee-Length Shorts:
A warm-weather version featuring knee-length legs with rolled cuffs and optional contrast bias-bound side seams. Perfect for creating casual summer shorts in lightweight cotton, linen or twill.

Recommended Fabrics

Choose medium-weight woven fabrics with enough structure for trousers, or lighter woven fabrics for summer shorts.

Fabric Tip: Pre-wash your fabric before cutting according to the manufacturer's recommendations, especially when working with cotton or linen.

If a carrier does not service your address, we may need to use an alternative option, which could incur additional charges, particularly for P.O. box addresses.

For remote or rural areas where delivery costs are higher, additional fees may apply. In these cases, we will provide proof of the shipping costs to ensure transparency.

Other Provinces in Canada, USA, and International Shipping

For customers in other Canadian provinces, the USA, or internationally, we offer a range of shipping options through various carriers. The customer is responsible for selecting their preferred shipping method at checkout.

Please note that our system provides an estimated shipping cost at checkout, which may not always reflect the actual shipping charges.

In cases of oversized orders, shipments to rural or remote areas, or delivery to P.O. boxes, the final shipping cost may differ. If this occurs, we will contact you directly with the updated shipping cost, which will be the responsibility of the customer.

Please ensure that the fabric has not been washed, cut, or used before contacting us.

DIGITAL PRODUCTS: NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS

All of our sewing patterns are sold as digital PDF files and are delivered instantly after purchase.
Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.
Please make sure you have the correct email address and a device that can open PDF files before completing your order.

If you encounter any issues with your download link or file, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.

PLEASE NOTE

We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.

Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.

Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.

We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.

We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.

If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.

Please note that monitor or device settings may affect how you view product colours on our website. We cannot issue a refund if there are discrepancies between the product image and the actual colour.
