Design Details
Oversized Silhouette:
The Jolene Jacket features a relaxed, generously proportioned shape that makes it easy to layer over knitwear, sweaters and everyday clothing. The oversized design creates a modern look while allowing room for comfortable movement.
Dropped-Shoulder Sleeves:
The shoulder seams extend beyond the natural shoulder line, creating a relaxed silhouette that works especially well with plush, textured fabrics such as faux fur and sherpa.
Stand-Up Collar:
A structured high collar adds a clean, contemporary finish to the neckline and provides extra coverage in cooler weather. Choose a fabric with enough body to help maintain the collar's shape.
Integrated Front Pockets:
Two generously sized pockets are incorporated into the front panel construction, creating useful storage without disrupting the jacket's clean, minimalist appearance.
Full-Length Separating Zipper:
The front closure uses a separating zipper, making the jacket practical for everyday wear. The required zipper length varies according to the selected size.
Fully Lined Construction:

Recommended Fabrics
The designer recommends fabrics with structure and body to support the oversized silhouette. The original sample was created in faux fur, but the pattern is also suitable for a wide variety of outerwear fabrics.
Lining Fabric: Choose a lightweight, smooth lining material suitable for outerwear, such as polyester or viscose lining, to help the jacket slide comfortably over clothing.
Fabric Selection Tip: Faux fur and sherpa create a warm, textured look, while jacquard, denim and gabardine can produce a lighter jacket with a more structured silhouette. Consider the thickness of your fabric when sewing the collar, zipper opening and lined seams.
Important: For thick faux fur or sherpa, reduce bulk in the seam allowances when appropriate, avoid trapping excessive pile in the seams and test your stitching on fabric scraps before assembling the jacket.

The following fabric quantities are provided by Cha'coud for fabrics measuring 140 cm / 55" wide.

Lining Fabric
- Sizes 34–40: 1.20 m / approximately 1.31 yards

Note: These are the designer's original fabric recommendations. Additional fabric may be needed for directional faux fur, fabric nap, matching jacquard patterns, adjustments or different fabric widths.

Sewing Tip: Choose a separating zipper that is suitable for your fabric's weight and thickness. For bulky faux fur or sherpa, consider using sewing clips instead of pins and carefully manage the pile around the zipper and seam allowances.
Size Range & Fit
La Veste Jolene includes ten European women's sizes, from 34 to 52.
The jacket is intentionally designed with an oversized fit, dropped shoulders and room for comfortable layering. It is not intended to have the close-fitting silhouette of a tailored blazer.
Fit Tip: Select your size using the designer's measurement chart. If you prefer a less oversized look, compare your body measurements with the finished garment dimensions where available before deciding whether to size down.

All of our sewing patterns are sold as digital PDF files and are delivered instantly after purchase.
Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.
Please make sure you have the correct email address and a device that can open PDF files before completing your order.
If you encounter any issues with your download link or file, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.
Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.
Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.
We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.
We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.
If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.
Please note that monitor or device settings may affect how you view product colours on our website. We cannot issue a refund if there are discrepancies between the product image and the actual colour.
