Three Styles in One Pattern
Version 1 – Margot Midi Dress
The midi-length Margot Dress offers a beautiful balance of elegance and comfort. Its generous A-line cut creates a relaxed silhouette, while the pintuck neckline adds subtle visual interest.
Choose lightweight linen for a breathable summer dress, soft cotton for an easy everyday look or a cotton-linen blend for a comfortable combination of structure and movement.
The optional ties can be fastened at the back to create a gently shaped waist while retaining the relaxed character of the dress.
Version 2 – Margot Mini Dress
The shorter Margot variation is playful, comfortable and perfect for warm weather. Featuring the same square neckline, pintuck detailing and wide shoulder straps, this version offers an easygoing silhouette with a shorter hemline.
Pair it with sandals for everyday wear or layer it over a fitted top for transitional weather.
Version 3 – Margot Top

Design Details
Decorative Pintuck Neckline
Margot's most distinctive feature is its series of delicate pintucks across the front bodice, extending downward from the square neckline.
These narrow stitched folds introduce texture and a beautiful handcrafted detail without requiring complicated embellishments.
The sewing instructions explain how to mark, stitch and press the pintucks individually. You can also experiment with their length to personalize the final design.
Wide, Bra-Friendly Straps
The wide shoulder straps offer comfortable coverage and help create a practical, everyday sleeveless design.
Relaxed A-Line Silhouette
The dress widens gently toward the hem for an airy, comfortable fit with room to move.

Optional Back Waist Ties
Two fabric ties can be sewn into the side seams and fastened at the back to provide additional waist definition.

Clean Neckline Finish
Separate front and back neckline-facing pieces are included in the pattern. The facing is attached, turned to the inside and topstitched for a neat finish.
Recommended Fabrics
The Margot Dress & Top is designed for woven fabrics without stretch, particularly linen, cotton and comparable blends.
Fabric Selection Tip: Fabrics that hold a pressed fold will make the pintucks easier to sew and help keep the neckline detailing crisp.
Sewing Tip: For your first Margot, a stable, solid-coloured cotton or linen is an excellent choice because it makes marking and sewing the pintucks easier.

The designer's fabric requirements are based on a fabric approximately 114 cm / 45" wide. Quantities are estimates and may vary depending on fabric width, size, directional prints and cutting layout.

- US Sizes 0–8: 1.5 yd (approximately 1.37 m)
- US Sizes 10–20: 2 yd (approximately 1.83 m)
- US Sizes 22–30: 2.5 yd (approximately 2.29 m)
Margot Mini Dress – 45" Wide Fabric
- US Sizes 0–8: 3 yd (approximately 2.74 m)
- US Sizes 10–20: 3.5 yd (approximately 3.20 m)
- US Sizes 22–30: 4 yd (approximately 3.66 m)
Margot Midi Dress – 45" Wide Fabric
- US Sizes 0–8: 4 yd (approximately 3.66 m)
- US Sizes 10–20: 4.5 yd (approximately 4.11 m)
- US Sizes 22–30: 5 yd (approximately 4.57 m)
Important: The designer's estimates are based on 45" wide fabric. Wider fabrics may require less yardage, but check your cutting layout before reducing the quantity.
Allow additional fabric for shrinkage, directional prints, pattern matching and personal length adjustments.

Sizing & Fit
The Margot Dress & Top is available in US sizes 0–30.
The pattern is drafted for an approximate height range of 165–170 cm / 5'5"–5'7" and a B-cup bust.
The relaxed shape provides ease through the body, while the bust darts create shaping at the upper bodice.
Bust Fit: If your bust differs significantly from the designer's B-cup drafting, consider making a bust adjustment or a test garment before cutting your final fabric.
Length Adjustments: The designer recommends checking the garment length against your body measurements. Taller sewists may wish to add length, particularly to the dress versions.
Waist Tie Placement: Position the ties at your preferred waist level using the pattern notches as a starting guide.

Seam Allowances & Sewing Notes
- Standard Seam Allowance: 5/8" / approximately 1.6 cm, unless otherwise specified
- Pintuck Stitching: Approximately 1/16" / 1.6 mm from the folded edge
- Neckline-Facing Attachment: 1/4" / approximately 6 mm, as instructed
- Armhole Finish: Double-fold 1/4" / approximately 6 mm
- Hem Finish: Double-fold 1/2" / approximately 1.3 cm
Prewash and press your fabric before cutting. The designer also recommends a test garment if you want to check the fit and length before sewing your final version.

Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.
Please make sure you have the correct email address and a device that can open PDF files before completing your order.
If you encounter any issues with your download link or file, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.
Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.
Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.
We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.
We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.
If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.
Please note that monitor or device settings may affect how you view product colours on our website. We cannot issue a refund if there are discrepancies between the product image and the actual colour.
