The TN34 Parka PDF sewing pattern by Merchant & Mills is a relaxed, versatile interpretation of the classic fishtail parka. Designed in a unisex size range from XS to 3XL, this advanced outerwear sewing pattern can be made lined or unlined and finished with either an integrated hood or a ribbed collar.
The TN34 has been completely redrafted for Merchant & Mills’ unisex sizing and replaces the discontinued TN31 Parka pattern. Unlike the previous version, the hood is included directly in the TN34 pattern, so a separate hood expansion is not required.
Make a lightweight waterproof parka in Dry Oilskin or ripstop, a practical transitional jacket in cotton drill or canvas, or a warm winter coat in wool or tweed. With several lining and collar options, the TN34 Parka can be adapted for year-round wear.
All seam allowances are 1.5 cm (⅝") unless otherwise stated and are included in the pattern.

Recommended Fabrics
Choose medium- to heavyweight woven fabrics with enough structure for a classic parka silhouette.
Recommended lining fabrics:
Ribbing: Choose ribbing that stretches by approximately 50%. For example, a 10 cm piece should comfortably stretch to 15 cm.

Length adjustment note: Merchant & Mills suggests that taller wearers, approximately 5'10" or taller, may wish to lengthen the body by 10 cm total and the sleeves by 5 cm. Check the finished measurements before making adjustments, as this may not be necessary in the larger sizes.

All of our sewing patterns are sold as digital PDF files and are delivered instantly after purchase.
Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.
Please make sure you have the correct email address and a device that can open PDF files before completing your order.
If you encounter any issues with your download link or file, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.
Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.
Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.
We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.
We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.
If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.
Please note that monitor or device settings may affect how you view product colours on our website. We cannot issue a refund if there are discrepancies between the product image and the actual colour.
