Performance Fabric for Leggings & Activewear

Our Performance Legging & Activewear Fabric is a substantial nylon-spandex performance knit featuring 4-way stretch with approximately 60% crosswise stretch and 50% lengthwise stretch. Designed for sewing leggings, athletic wear, workout clothing and fitted sportswear, it provides excellent flexibility in both directions for garments that move with the body.

With a weight of 230 gsm and a high 25% spandex content, this fabric is an excellent choice for close-fitting garments that require stretch and flexibility. Its substantial weight makes it particularly well suited to leggings and other fitted athletic garments where a lightweight activewear knit may not provide enough body.

The smooth stretch construction and nylon-rich composition make this a versatile choice for creating a coordinated handmade activewear wardrobe, from classic leggings to fitted tops, shorts and sportswear.

Sewing Recommendations

For best results, use a stretch needle and a stretch-compatible stitch or serger. A stretch or polyester thread can be used depending on your project and sewing method.

Always check the stretch requirements of your sewing pattern before cutting, particularly for close-fitting garments such as leggings.

Care Instructions

We recommend pre-washing your fabric using the same method you intend to use for the finished garment. To help preserve the stretch fibres, avoid excessive heat when washing and drying.

Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.

PLEASE NOTE

We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.

Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.

Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.

We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.

We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.

If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.

Please note that monitor or device settings may affect how you view product colours on our website. We cannot issue a refund if there are discrepancies between the product image and the actual colour.
