A Universal needle in size 80/12 or 90/14 is a good choice for this 260 gsm cotton flannel. Choose the size according to the number of fabric layers you are sewing, and always test your needle and stitch settings on a scrap first.
Should I prewash cotton flannel before sewing?
Yes, we recommend prewashing your fabric before cutting, as 100% cotton can shrink. Prewash and dry it using the same method you plan to use for the finished garment.
Do I need to match the windowpane plaid when cutting?
For the most polished result, we recommend matching the horizontal and vertical lines at prominent seams, pockets and front openings. Purchasing a little extra fabric can be helpful when pattern matching.
Does cotton flannel fray?
Like most woven cotton fabrics, the cut edges fray. Finishing your seams with a serger, zigzag stitch or another appropriate seam finish will help keep the inside of your garment neat and durable.
What does yarn-dyed mean?

Care Instructions

Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.
Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.
We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.
We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.
If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.
