Design Details
Slim-Fit Silhouette:
The Basic T-Shirt is designed to fit close to the body, creating a flattering, streamlined appearance. Its fitted construction makes it especially versatile for pairing with high-waisted jeans, trousers, skirts or layered outfits.
Classic Crew Neckline:
A rounded neckline finished with a separate stretch neckband provides a clean, comfortable and timeless finish. The instructions guide you through attaching and pressing the neckband.
Short Sleeves:
The fitted short sleeves create a balanced, classic T-shirt silhouette. The pattern uses set-in sleeves, with illustrated instructions for attaching them to the armholes.
Comfortable Stretch Construction:
Designed specifically for stretch jersey fabrics, the T-shirt offers flexibility and comfort for everyday activities. A suitable fabric with good recovery will help maintain the garment's shape.
Versatile Wardrobe Essential:

Recommended Fabrics
The designer recommends a lightweight to medium-weight stretch cotton jersey. For the original sample, Juliana Martejevs used a GOTS-certified organic cotton jersey containing 95% cotton and 5% elastane, weighing approximately 200 gsm.
Designer Fabric Recommendation: 95% Cotton / 5% Elastane Organic Cotton Jersey, approximately 200 gsm.
Fabric Selection Tip: Choose a soft stretch jersey with excellent recovery for the best results. Cotton jersey with elastane offers comfort, breathability and flexibility, making it particularly suitable for this slim-fitting design.
Important Fabric Requirement: This pattern is intended for stretch jersey fabrics rather than non-stretch woven fabrics. Using a fabric without sufficient stretch may affect comfort and fit, particularly around the bust, sleeves and neckline.
Fabric Requirements
The following quantities are based on the designer's recommendations for fabric measuring at least 140 cm / 55" wide.
- Sizes XS–M: 0.65 m / approximately 0.71 yard
- Sizes L–XXXL: 0.80 m / approximately 0.87 yard
Note: These quantities are provided by the designer for the standard short-sleeved T-shirt. Additional fabric may be necessary for directional prints, pattern matching, length adjustments or different fabric widths.

Sewing Tip: The illustrated instructions recommend using a jersey sewing machine needle and a suitable straight or stretch stitch, depending on the fabric. Test your stitching on a fabric scrap to make sure the seams can accommodate the stretch of the jersey without breaking.
Size Range & Fit
The Basic T-Shirt includes seven sizes, XS–XXXL. The designer recommends selecting your size primarily according to your bust measurement, while also checking your waist and hip measurements.

For customers in other Canadian provinces, the USA, or internationally, we offer a range of shipping options through various carriers. The customer is responsible for selecting their preferred shipping method at checkout.

All of our sewing patterns are sold as digital PDF files and are delivered instantly after purchase.
Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.
Please make sure you have the correct email address and a device that can open PDF files before completing your order.
If you encounter any issues with your download link or file, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.
Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.
Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.
We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.
We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.
If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.
Please note that monitor or device settings may affect how you view product colours on our website. We cannot issue a refund if there are discrepancies between the product image and the actual colour.
