Its distinctive brushed surface catches and reflects the light, creating beautiful tonal variations that shift from an almost-black navy to brighter silvery blue highlights depending on the direction of the fabric and the lighting.
Made with 80% wool and weighing a substantial 485 gsm, this fabric has the weight, warmth and body required for cold-weather outerwear. Sewing Tip: This fabric has a directional surface that reflects light differently depending on the orientation of the brushed fibres. Cut all pattern pieces in the same direction to maintain a consistent colour and sheen across the finished garment. At 485 gsm, choose patterns designed for heavyweight coating fabrics and grade or trim bulky seam allowances where necessary. A lining is recommended for coats and jackets for a polished finish and comfortable layering.

All of our sewing patterns are sold as digital PDF files and are delivered instantly after purchase.
Because digital products cannot be returned once downloaded, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any PDF pattern purchases.
Please make sure you have the correct email address and a device that can open PDF files before completing your order.

We strive for excellence in our products and customer service, but some imperfections may occur with fabric.
Please note that stains, holes, or blemishes within 3 inches (10 cm) of the edge are considered acceptable. Missing or pulled knit stitches on the wrong side of the fabric that do not distort the face are also considered acceptable. Additionally, fabric cut at 1 to 3 cm from the edge is acceptable. Stains on the inside of the fabric are also acceptable if they do not appear on the right side.
Please be aware that fabric may shrink after the first wash, so we recommend purchasing slightly more than the exact length required for your project.
We cannot cancel or refund orders once we've cut your fabric. If a refund is necessary, a 5% administration fee of your total bill will be charged.
We cannot offer refunds or compensation for items purchased a few days before they go on sale.
If a product is sold out, we'll contact you immediately to offer either a refund of the item at the price you've paid or a replacement with a product of equal value.
Please note that monitor or device settings may affect how you view product colours on our website. We cannot issue a refund if there are discrepancies between the product image and the actual colour.
